Notes:
-
The payments will be billed on an actual basis each month i.e. you will pay for your contractual hours each month. This means your monthly invoices will fluctuate depending on the number of days in each month and if the setting is closed for holidays.
-
We will not charge on our closure dates including bank holidays. We will however charge for inset days (up to 5 per year).
-
For non-funded term-time only spaces there is a 50% charge (on the days we are not closed for our holidays) to maintain the space during school holidays.
-
All fees are payable monthly in advance by standing order (1st of each month for the month ahead). Weekly options are available for parents/carers who are paid weekly. These are due each Monday for the week ahead by standing order.
-
There are ways to get help with the cost of childcare:
-
Tax-Free Childcare Scheme - https://www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare
-
Through Universal Credit if you already receive this benefit
-
Funded Hours - 15/30 hours per week funded by the government https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/
-
Workplace childcare Voucher schemes – if your workplace still offers these
-
-
Please note that if you are accessing one of the childcare and early years entitlements, that government funding is not intended to cover the cost of meals, other consumables, additional hours or additional services. We therefore charge £1.50 per hour for meals and other consumables and this will be itemised on your invoice. If you would experience difficulties meeting the additional cost, please speak to us.
-
Any additional hours required are charged at £8 per hour.
Food:
-
Our food is provided onsite by Chartwells during the school term. During the school holidays we use Zebedees and other local providers. The children will always have nutritious food in our setting.
-
Our outsourced providers cater for various allergens and dietary needs.
How we work with parents
-
As many of us in the setting are parents, we understand the importance of good communication when your child is in a setting. We use various different methods to keep parents and carers updated and to build relationships.
-
We use an app and website called Baby’s Days for various information including nappy changes, the menu for the week, development updates, contracts, policies, permissions and invoices
-
We send daily pictures to parents/carers via WhatsApp and give daily verbal updates
-
We host a summer picnic with the BSK team, parents/carers and the Bright Stars Kids
-
We have a Christmas performance each year followed by cake and an opportunity for the team and families to get to know each other better
-
We have parents/carers meetings twice a year to discuss their child’s development
-
We put pictures of our activities on our Bright Stars Kids Facebook and Instagram pages
-
We send a monthly newsletter
