Funded hours
The government funded hours are offered free of charge.
Please note that if you are accessing one of the childcare and early years entitlements, the Statutory Guidance on Early Education and Childcare states that government funding is not intended to cover the cost of meals, other consumables, additional hours or additional services.
The statutory guidance also states, Local authorities should ensure that providers are aware that they can charge parents for the following extras in connection with the free hours, but these charges must be voluntary for the parent:

consumables to be used by the child, such as nappies or sun cream

meals and snacks consumed by the child

extra optional activities such as events, celebrations, specialist tuition (for example music classes or foreign languages) or other activities that are not directly related or necessary for the effective delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework

Depends on the activity. We very rarely have any other additional costs, but we will notify you if this is required (such as for day trips or activities) and seek to provide an alternative which complies with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework.
Please note these consumables fees are related to funded hours only as our private fees already include food and other consumables. Many of our families use a mix of private and funded hours.
Your Options
If parents/carers wish to opt out of paying for food and other consumables, please contact Nursev to discuss this further. It will only be possible to fully opt out, not partially e.g. you will not be able to pay for one part like food and not for the other. You would be required to provide speci ic alternatives detailed in our Food and Drink Policy and Admissions Policy.
